Welcome
to the finest fighting division in the world. The Big Red One has
served proudly since its founding in 1917. Since then, the Division has
served with distinction and honor in war and peace. In World War I,
World War II, Vietnam, Desert Storm, the Cold War, and the present, the
Big Red One has soldiered hard in some of the toughest battles in U.S.
history. At Cantingy, Kasserine Pass, Gela, Omaha Beach, Butgenbach,
Operation Junction City, Objective Norfolk, and hundreds of other
locations, the First Infantry Division fought it way into history's
pages.
In the Pacific
Northwest, the Big Red One continues to serve with pride as a unit of
the Pacific Northwest
Historical Group.
Our group is dedicated to remembering and honoring the memory of the
World War II combat soldier. We do this in two ways; through living
history and battle reenactments. Our goal is to combine the two facets
into a seamless history experience of the World War II era.
The PNWHG
is a non-political organization. Our group does not support, condone,
or allow any activity which could bring discredit on its members or the
soldiers we portray. NO EXTREMIST ACTIVITY OF ANY KIND WILL BE ALLOWED
NOR TOLERATED.
