Our unit portrays the common German Infantry Soldier, or Lanser as he was known. The German Landser was the spearhead of the German War Machine of 1939-1945. He was the backbone of the German Army and fought with tenacity, honor and determination in every theatre of operations, from the invasion of France and Poland to Operation Barbarossa to the battles of Normandy and the final bloody days in Berlin. There are many more well known units or so-called Elite Divisions, but it was the common Deutsche Heer that made up the bulk of Germany Military operations. Among their ranks there were volunteers as well as conscripts, but whatever their makeup, they possessed a fighting reputation that is known still today as the best fighting man that the world had even seen. If the Germany Infantryman was magnificent on the offensive he was at least superb on the defensive. Holding ground with tenacity , he was very rarely panicked and was able to think and fight his way out of many encirclements that would have bewildered his Soviet or Allied counterpart.
As a reenactment unit we will immerse you in the life of a German Landser. You will train as they did, fight as they did using the same tactics, eat the same food, and feel what it must have been like to carry the weapons, and wear the same equipment. You will not find a more realistic group anywhere, and we are proud to honor the German soldier.
